*Monthly option for limited companies and LLPs paying monthly: Shop Starter £39 a month including VAT x 12 (£468 in total, including VAT); Shop Plus £89 a month including VAT x 12 (£1,068 in total, including VAT). Sole traders and partnerships on our interest-free monthly plan: the add-on price is shared equally across your 12 payments, at no extra cost. Buying it with your website? It is added to your website price and paid the same way.
How it works
From product list to first order.
Choose your shop
Add Shop Starter or Shop Plus to your quote when you choose your package, or add it later to a site we already host.
Open your account
You open Stripe or Shopify in your business's name and invite us as a team member. We never ask for your password.
Send your products
Upload your product list and photos in your client portal. We write or load the products and build the shop.
Test, approve, go live
We test in the platform's test mode, you place a test order and check it, then approve it in your client account.

What the platform charges you.
You pay the platform direct, in your own account. Here is what each one charges.

Taken from each platform's own pricing page on 1 November 2026. Platforms set their own fees and can change them; you pay them direct and they are not part of our price unless your quote says so.
Looking after it
A care plan keeps it running.
A care plan is required while we host your site. Essential care (£29 a month including VAT) at least. For a shop we recommend the Care plan: product and price updates come out of its hour of changes each month, and we check your checkout every month. See what each plan includes.
You are the seller. You set your prices, stock, delivery and refunds, and you're responsible to your customers. We build the pages and order steps to show the information you give us, including order confirmations.

Do my customers pay you or me?
You. Your customers pay through your own Stripe or Shopify account, opened in your business's name. We never receive, hold or pass on your customers' money, and we never see or store card details: the checkout runs on the provider's own secure payment pages.
What will the platform cost me?
Shop Starter uses Stripe Payment Links: no monthly fee, and 1.5% + 20p for a standard UK card. Shop Plus uses Shopify Basic: £25 a month (£19 a month if you pay Shopify yearly) and 2% + 25p per online card payment. You pay the platform direct.
Shop Starter or Shop Plus?
Shop Starter suits up to 20 products, gift vouchers, deposits or click and collect: each product has its own Buy button and secure checkout, with no shared basket. Shop Plus is a full Shopify shop with a basket, stock, shipping rates and discount codes, for up to 100 products.
Do I need a care plan?
Yes, while we host your site you keep a care plan: Essential care at least. We recommend the Care plan for shops, because product and price updates come out of its hour of changes and we check your checkout every month (up to the payment page, without paying).
Who writes the product descriptions and shop policies?
On Shop Starter we write your product descriptions. On both, we give you starter templates for your terms of sale, a cancellation form and your delivery or collection page. They are not legal advice: you check them and they become yours.
Is there anything I can't sell?
Nothing unlawful or that the platform doesn't allow. We don't build shops for age-restricted goods (such as alcohol, tobacco, vapes or knives) or medicines unless you show us the licence and we agree in writing, and we don't build repeat-payment subscriptions for consumers.
How do you test it?
In the platform's test mode, never with a real card. You place a test order, check prices, VAT, delivery charges and emails, and approve the shop in your client account before it goes live.
Can I add a shop to a site I already have with you?
Yes. We send you an amendment to accept in your client account: you pay half when you accept and half when you approve the shop, or monthly if you're a limited company or LLP. If you don't approve it, we refund what you paid for it.
What if I leave?
Your Stripe or Shopify account, products, orders and customer data are already yours. Your shop pages are included in your site download as built, and we remove our access to your accounts.
Online shops are sold under Schedule S of our Terms of Business (version 2.5, also as a PDF). Care plan contents: our Care Plan Service Schedule. All prices include VAT at 20%.
